The Twitter account TVScoops reports that Broadchurch again won the (overnights) ITV 9pm slot this week as (including ITV + 1) Broadchurch received 8.7 million viewers. On Tuesday it was a football match which had 4.2m, on Wednesday Scott & Bailey got 5.2m, on Thursday another football match had 3.8m and on Friday The Ice Cream Girls received 4.2 million viewers.

Mirror reports that thousands of pounds have been bet on who the killer or killers are in Broadchurch.

The Richard II performance which was listed in some places for Saturday 7th December has now been removed from both the Royal Shakespeare Company and The Barbican websites. Tickets never went on sale for this performance.
This means that now David Tennant will play 84 performances (39 in Stratford-Upon-Avon and 45 in London).
Most performances of Richard II on the Royal Shakespeare Company website are sold out but The Barbican Centre website still has availablilty for most dates.

Filming for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode today was at the Ministry Of Defense base at Caerwent, Wales (where part of The Next Doctor was filmed).
As it is private property (and heavily guarded!) there were no fan reports so it is not known whether or not David Tennant was filming today.
Currently Billie Piper is known to be out of the country on holiday which MAY affect if David Tennant is required for filming his scenes for the episode at the moment or not.

The consolidated figures for Easter Monday (1st April) was that Broadchurch received 8.80 million viewers (including ITV + 1 or 8.28 million without ITV + 1). The overnight figures were 6.3 million and 6 million respectively.
On BBC One Jonathan Creek only had 470,000 more viewers in that timeslot.

For the first time since Broadchurch started, it only came second on the SecondSync Leaderboard. It had 38,207 tweets with a peak of 2,245 per minute.

Guardian says that Broadchurch last night received 6.6 million viewers which was 25.7% of those watching television at that time.

Today filming on the 50th anniversary episode was at the Tower Of London (where UNIT was based) and both Jemma Redgrave and Jenna-Louise Coleman were seen on set.

Promotion for The Politician's Husband has started! There is an interview with Emily Watson in The Times (behind the paywall). The title describes the drama as "power, politics and a violent union."

Broadchurch is one of today's TV Picks in Metro. They describe it as "this compelling crime drama."

Radio Times has a review of episode 6 of Broadchurch.

The BBC website reports that new BBC Director-General sent an email to all staff about his first week in the role including meeting David Tennant and Matt Smith yesterday. He wrote "I also met two doctors � Matt Smith and David Tennant. I�m unsure what the collective noun is for a group of Doctor Whos but it�s the kind of question you�d only get at the BBC."

This coming week Shine International will be showcasing Broadchurch at MIPTV in Cannes to oversea television companies. This is a large industry trade-show which means that potentially Broadchurch could be sold to 100 different countries.
Also at MIPTV in Cannes there will be a co-production case study panel about Spies Of Warsaw.

Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited - The Fourth Doctor will premiere on BBC America on Sunday 28th April with David Tennant interview clips again.
Also it has been announced that the first four episodes of Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited will be released on DVD in the US on Tuesday 11th June and will include the David Tennant interview clips.

Actor Joe Sims will be talking about Broadchurch on BBC Radio 5 on Saturday at 7.50am with Phil Williams.

Today the BBC released the days and times of their television programmes for the week commencing Saturday 20th April. However The Politician's Husband was not listed for Monday 22nd as The Telegraph has specfied. Later someone from the BBC told us that it would not be on that day so there will be no clash with the final episode of Broadchurch.

Doctor Who filming today is in Fochriw. There has been no sighting of David Tennant but later someone tweeted that he was at Bang Post Productions in Wales. On set the Eleventh Doctor's TARDIS was spotted and then a different TARDIS was used for some shots but nobody posted that it was the Tenth Doctor's.

A new drama is described as 'Broadchurch-like' by Radio Times so Broadchurch is now its own genre!

The Doctor Who website has announced that The Zygons will be in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode. These were the monsters which David Tennant once said was the monster he would most like to see returned from the classic Doctor Who era.

Screencaps of David Tennant from a certain scene in Broadchurch tonight have already been posted to Tumblr.

Dorset Echo reports that bookies have been 'swamped' with bets on Broadchurch and that the first coach has been spotted in West Bay looking at filming locations.

It doesn't include David Tennant but Channel 4 On Demand has the 1995 drama The Politician's Wife available to watch (UK only). Although a different story, this three part drama has been described by the writer Paula Milne as 'a bookend' to The Politician's Husband.

Broadchurch is one of The Guardian's TV Highlight for Today. The item includes the phrase "This Scandi noir-styled drama is getting better by the week."
