London - January 2016
David Tennant starred in Richard II for the Royal Shakespeare Company at The Barbican Centre in London in January 2016. This was part of The Royal Shakespeare Company's King And Country event.

The stand-alone dates David performed were:

David Tennant also took part in a Richard II panel on Saturday 16th January between 11am and noon.

New York - March to April 2016
David Tennant will reprise his role as Richard II in the US for the Royal Shakespeare Company King And Country performances between Thursday 24th March and Sunday 1st May 2016 at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music (BAM) Harvey Theater. The 4 play cycle consists of Richard II, Henry IV Parts I and II, and Henry V.

As well as David Tennant playing the title role of Richard II, Antony Sher and Jasper Britton will play Falstaff and Henry IV respectively in the Henry IV plays and Alex Hassell will play Prince Hal, who reaches maturity as Henry V in the final play in the tetralogy. The plays are directed by The RSC's Artistic Director Gregory Doran.

Unlike the UK, tickets can be purchased individually for any of the performances of Richard II.
