David Tennant is in the Dreamworks remake of the movie Fright Night starring alongside Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, Imogen Poots and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Sandra Vergara plays David's girlfriend in the movie.
David plays the character Peter Vincent who was played in the original movie Roddy McDowall as the host of a late-night horror show. In this remake he is a Las Vegas magician whose show revolves around horror-movie imagery. The press release explains "Vincent claims to be a vampire expert, but when the teen turns to him for assistance, he is less than helpful."
The movie was directed by Craig Gillespie and it was released through Disney.
The filming dates were Monday 26th July until Friday 1st October 2010. However David was not required for all the filming period as his character is not in the majority of the scenes. His stint on set did not exceed four weeks. His first night on set was Tuesday 10th August.
David attended a screening of the movie at the O2 on Sunday 14th August.
