On Friday 23rd January 2015 David Tennant recorded two episodes of Just A Minute for BBC Radio Four.
The object of Just A Minute is for panellists to talk for sixty seconds on a given subject 'without hesitation, repetition or deviation.' The comedy comes from attempts to keep within these rules and the banter among the participants.
It is hosted by spry 91 year old Nicholas Parsons and is now in its 47th year. Its first transmission on Radio 4 was on 22nd December 1967.
David Tennant's first episode was broadcast on Monday 9th February and the second episode will be on Monday 30th March at 6.30pm.
The other panellists at the recording were Paul Merton, Julian Clary and Stephen Fry.
The Telegraph reported that David Tennant was the most successful debut contestant ever in the near 50 years of Just a Minute as he spoke for the full minute at his first attempt!
