David Tennant - Inside Man David Tennant stared in Steven Moffat's limited series Inside Man which premiered on BBC One on Monday 26th September 2022 at 9pm with the second episode following at the same time on Tuesday 27th September. The third episode premiered on Monday 3rd October and the series concluded on Tuesday 4th October. It was released on Netflix worldwide (except the UK) on Monday 31st October 2022. The production was a BBC and Netflix partnership with Netflix streaming the show outside of the UK and Ireland. Filming started on Monday 28th June 2021. The series consisted of four one hour episodes and centred on a prisoner on death row in the US, a vicar in a quiet English town and a maths teacher who was trapped in a cellar as they crossed paths in the most unexpected way. As well as David Tennant, Stanley Tucci played the title role of the Inside Man. Dolly Wells and Lydia West were the other main stars. Doctor Who and Sherlock writer Steven Moffat was originally reported to be keeping plot details firmly under wraps so that only he himself knew how the story would conclude. Sherlock director Paul McGuigan helmed the series with Alex Mercer producing. Executive producers are Sue Vertue for Hartswood Films and Ben Irving for the BBC. Chris Sussman oversaw for Netflix. Inside Man was first commissioned in 2019 by BBC drama director Piers Wenger and Charlotte Moore. Inside Man was released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on Monday 9th October 2023. Purchase link. 2023 David Tennant is short listed for Best Actor Award in TV Choice Awards. This is for his role in the ITV drama Litvinenko. Also Good Omens has made the short list for the Best Comedy Award. Unfortunately neither Inside Man and Litvinenko got through to this final round for the Best New Drama Award. Nor did Spy In The Ocean (which is narrated by David) for the Best Factual Show Award or Ahsoka for the Best Family Drama Award. August 2021 A photo of David Tennant filming Inside Man yesterday has been posted online. Updated 18/8 Photos of David Tennant filming Inside Man in Godalming, Surrey today have been posted online here and here. A local newspaper later reported that filming took place in Great George Street which contains a row of colourful houses painted white or in pastel colours. It was also suggested that Godalming train station and one of the town's churches were used for filming other scenes in the series. Updated 11/8
