BehindTheLensOnline reports that director Josie Rourke has some great things to say about David Tennant in Mary Queen Of Scots movie.
Josie's comments included:
'This is a fun fact, David is the son of a Scottish minister. And if you are Scottish, you know exactly who John Knox is. He’s also the key figure in Scottish reformation. People have gone, “Oh my God, that gigantic beard, what’s that?” I’m like, “Google John Knox.” That’s exactly what the guy looked like.'
She also said:
'The other amazing thing about David, and he’s such a great Shakespearian actor as well, is that probably the majority of what he says in the film is not Beau Willimon’s writing, it’s the actual words of John Knox. He’s able to make that stuff, as he does when he plays Shakespeare roles, feel freshly minted and bring it into the present. I do think, actually, that’s one of the reasons why he’s so chilling. To me certainly, he’s speaking with the authority of that man who looked Mary Queen of Scots in the eye and challenged her like that. Mary said she feared John Knox more than she feared all of the armies of Europe.' Updated 20/12

Den Of Geek have an article from New York Comic Con of David Tennant and Michael Sheen discussing 'The Distinctive Direction Of The Good Omens TV Show' by Douglas Mackinnon.
The quotes from David in the article are:
"I think what's brilliant about Douglas is that he has an absolute grasp of all the disparate elements of what Good Omens is, and there are a lot of them. There's lots going on that we [actors] never really get to truly understand or know. There're whole plot lines that I can't wait to see what they're about, some characters that we're never in a scene with."
And
"You've always felt like Douglas—he's been working on this project certainly a lot longer than I have—had a real sense of what everything was and how it all had to be pulled together. And I felt, probably because I knew him before, probably because of the sense that he brought to set everyday, I could trust that. I didn't have to worry about. I just had to look after my little corner of it because he was in charge." Updated 18/10

Part of its review is 'David Tennant and Jessica Hynes are every bit as sensitive and engaging as you’d expect in this and work exceptionally well together.' Updated 17/10

ETOnline has an interview titled 'Jennifer Garner and David Tennant on why they embraced playing against type in Camping.'
A quote from David in the interview is:
"It wasn’t the sort of character I usually end up doing. I do spend a lot of my life pretending to be suave or somewhat entitled or powerful, so it was quite a relief to not have to. I have to fake that! It was quite nice to fall into someone who doesn’t have any of that self-confidence. He’s a slightly dorky dad, which is probably quite close to who I really am. It’s always thrilling when someone offers you the part. 'Why did they think of me for this?' You better accept it before they change their mind and say, 'I think they got the wrong person.'" One quote from David in the interview is:
'It was unlike any job I’d ever been involved with before. I didn’t know if I could do it, surrounded by people who are proper comedians.' Updated 12/10

It’s ten years since I did Doctor Who, which has a similar mixture of practical effects and visual effects – and the world has moved on really fast. When we did Doctor Who there would be about five CGI shots per episode. Now we’re almost up to five per scene.Updated 5/10

Entertainment Weekly has a short interview with David Tennant and Michael Sheen about Good Omens.
In the article David Tennant says “They enjoy being appalled by each other. Yet throughout the eons, they’ve been saving each other’s bacon, repeatedly.
Speaking about Neil Gaiman David says “It’s such a unique world that he and Terry have created. If anyone else had taken it on, I don’t think we could have captured the real quirky essence of it.
David also says "“There’s something wonderful about playing a supernatural character. You’re freed from some of the restraints of some of the psychological straight lines that you might have to apply to a human being. Although at the same time Aziraphale and Crowley are very human.Updated 5/10

April 2018
SYFYWire has a great interview with Dean Devlin about David Tennant's acting in Bad Samaritan.
Dean says "Some actors have to stay in character all the time, but David's the guy who literally can just hit the switch on and off. So before the take, he's literally the sweetest man you've ever met, helping people carry their props onto the set, pouring coffee for you and chit-chatting being very sweet. And the minute I would say ‘action,' you could literally see the muscles in his face moving and his eyes clouding over and getting dark and suddenly it was really uncomfortable to be on set. I'd see crew members starting to shift around and feeling uncomfortable." Updated 30/4
