David Tennant narrates Penguins - Spy In The Huddle

David Tennant narrated this three part nature documentary which used state of the art camera techniques to film penguins in their natural enviroment.

The programme was shown on Monday evenings on BBC One at 9pm starting on Monday 11th February 2013.

The series was produced by John Downer Productions (who made Earthflight) and they filmed 1,000 hours over 300 consecutive days in Antarctica and Peru.

The series will be released on DVD on Monday 8th April 2013.

Tonight at the National Television Awards:
Unfortunately Penguins - Spy In The Huddle did not win the Documentary Series Award as Educating Yorkshire won.
Matt Smith won the Best Drama Performance Award (for Doctor Who). Steven Moffat described David Tennant as 'incredible' as he was talking about Matt Smith taking over from David in Doctor Who when accepting the award on Matt's behalf. A video of it has been posted to YouTube.
Unfortunately David Tennant or Olivia Colman didn't win Best Detective Award for Broadchurch as Benedict Cumberbatch did. However Benedict Cumberbatch mentioned both David Tennant and Olivia Colman briefly as other nominees in his acceptance speech.
Doctor Who (and not Broadchurch) won the Drama Award. A clip of David Tennant was shown from The Day Of The Doctor.
David Tennant did not attend as he was on stage in Richard II at the time. Updated 22/1
