David Tennant - Love Virtually On Thursday 8th March from 2.15pm until 3.00pm on BBC Radio Four David Tennant and Emilia Fox appeared in Love Virtually. This drama is based on a book by Austrian novelist Daniel Glattauer and the BBC describes it as "a thoroughly modern epistolary novel with one difference - its protagonists Emmi Rothner and Leo Leike communicate exclusively by email. They 'meet' when Emmi mistakenly sends an email to Leo's inbox. A romance ensues that allows them to live out a shared secret life far removed from their day-to-day existences. The story asks to what extent the relationship relies on fantasy and escapism and whether it will it survive a real life meeting. The problem is Emmi is married - but does a virtual affair ‘count’ as adultery? The tale questions whether it’s possible to fall in love with someone you've never met - and explores the implications of anonymity in cyberspace." The drama was adapted by Eileen Horne and the producer is Clive Brill for Pacificus Productions. Click here for a MP3 of Love Virtually. BBC Radio Four will dramatise the sequel to Love Virtually called Every Seventh Wave. David Tennant performed in the original in March 2012 and will reprise his role of Leo Leike in the sequel.
