Twenty Twelve

David Tennant narrated Twenty Twelve which was screened on BBC Four starting on Monday 14th March 2011.

The first series was repeated on BBC Four at 10pm and 2am on Wednesday evenings starting 4th January 2012.

Twenty Twelve was a six part comedy mock documentary series which David recorded via telephone from the US while he was filming Fright Night.
It was about the people working to make the Olympics happen in London in 2012.

David Tennant also provided the voiceover for the second series which aired starting Friday 30th March at 10pm.

Three more episodes were filmed during May and June 2012 and were broadcast starting on Tuesday 10th July at 10pm on BBC Two.

The DVD of the second series was released on Monday 6th August in the UK. The same day a special Series One and Series Two DVD set was also released.

It is not announced yet who will narrate it but the BBC has commissioned a new series called W1A as a follow-up to Twenty Twelve with some of the same cast such as Hugh Bonnerville and Jessica Hynes. Updated 5/12

Friday 30th March at 7.05am on Channel 4 Freshly Squeezed (the celebrity interview show) says that it will have "interviews with the actors providing the voices for Aardman's new animated movie The Pirates! In an Adventure With Scientists including Hugh Grant and David Tennant."
The BBC have announced that Series Two of Twenty Twelve will start transmission on Friday 30th March at 10am but it is most likely that they actually mean 10pm.
There will also be a special episode of Twenty Twelve during Sport Relief on Friday 23rd at 10pm on BBC Two but it is not known whether or not David Tennant will be providing the voice-over.
